According to well placed sources, Susan Herbst has reached out to the Vatican in an effort to cecede from the State of Connecticut and realign as a Roman Catholic University. Susan was quoted as saying "Look at the Torquemada like review of the Corey Edsall hire by the State's Ethics Committee, for what 100k? We can make that back on Saturday night Mass. And look at the recent success of both the Villanova and Gonzaga Men's basketball teams! We believe this is a trend and we want to be able to recruit more 5 star Cathlolic student athletes".

Now my head really hurts.

If she were seeking to emulate the success of Notre Dame football, conversion to Catholicism would make more sense. Gonzaga basketball isn't a good sales pitch.
