>>Another intriguing story line – for the college football fans — is the quarterback match-up. Both Glastonbury’s Keyion Dixon and Southington’s Jasen Rose have committed to UConn.

Dixon, who will likely be a wide receiver for the Huskies, has played a majority of snaps under center the last two season, but is a threat all over the field — including free safety on defense. Rose has been the Blue Knights’ signal-caller the last two years and statistically one of the most prolific passers in state history.<<

>>The 6:30 p.m. CCC showdown features not one but two quarterbacks who are committed to UConn.

Southington's Jasen Rosen, who could very well emerge into UConn's quarterback of the future, has completed 33 of 46 passes for 765 yards with 15 touchdowns and no interceptions in Southington's first three games. Meanwhile Keyion Dixon, who is likely to be a receiver at the next level, does things a little bit differently. He can throw the ball but does most of his damage with his legs as Dixon has run for 583 yards and nine touchdowns in Glastonbury's first three games.

Once that game is over people have time to make it home in time to watch the UConn-BYU game on ESPN2.

The official start time is 10:15 p.m. but media out here in Utah have reported that the time window for the opening kickoff is between 10:21-10:26 p.m.<<

CPTV Sports is carrying the Southington-Glastonbury game live. You can get it with an OTA antenna or on any cable system in CT.

Can't seem to find it on Cablevision in Fairfield County. Got a channel number?

Not sure, but by state law they have to carry it because it's part of CPTV so check high in the SD numbers

We should offer #6 from Glastonbury as a return specialist. Kid's elusive and sneaky fast. 2 60+ yd TD runs already with a 3rd, shorter TD run as well.

Just had a 52yd KO return to start the second half too.

31-27 Glastonbury, 3rd Q. Glastonbury inside the 10.

34-27

Yup. No Defensive helmet stickers tonight. Tied at 41 very early in the 4th.

I miss officiating every once in a while. Then I see one of these endless games and I'm glad I don't get home at 11 on Friday nights anymore.

Good lord that last Rose TD was impressive.

Southington showed Glastonbury what a real apple town looks like.

CPTV guys talked all night about Jay Rose coming to UCONN as a TE, never even mentioned QB. Misinformed or inside info?

I was impressed with the running back #42 Allessio Diana from Southington.

DISCLAIMER: He is my nephew. :)

he's a real good football player. He and #6 from Glastonbury both stood out tonight

Not really being recruited hard by anyone which I am surprised at even though I am biased.

You can make the case that this kid is one of the fastest in the state.
