Xavier got hosed (no pun intended)Chris Jones talking about possible rain and thunderstorms this afternoon possibly in a couple hours.
Bottom 2nd, a scoreless inning for Ellisen after he gives up a 1 out walk, Malcom throws out a stolen base attempt for the 2nd out. Ellisen faces the minimum. No score.

No timely hitting in big games to this pointTop 4th, a leadoff double for Broadhurst, but he is left on base. No score.
He did his job today…Lets go Ellisen. I have been asking for you. Don't let me down.

Bottom 4th, after walking the leadoff hitter and throwing 2 balls to the next batter, Ellisen comes out of the game, Finnegan takes the mound.
Much like Quinn, I’m not sure why Ellisen hasn’t started somewhere at sometime this season. I thought last year it was established he was a starter candidate weekend or mid and only now he’s getting a start and number 4 post season starter? It took half of last year to get Coe the innings after, imo, he established himself as a valuable piece after his work in 22’ post season. I thought Coe really stood out at Stanford regardless of the numbers.Expect we'll be seeing more of Ellisen in future games. Probably has set himself up as the 4th starter in post season tournament games.
Now there’s some timely hittingTop 5th, 1st 2 UConn batters reach base with a single and a walk. Garbowski pinch hits for the D.H. Minick, a sac bunt moves both runners into scoring position with 1 out. An RBI infield single for Shpur, 1-0 UConn, with runners on the corners.

Do u get Tammaro a day off before the postseason even if they can’t afford to. Struggling
At the beginning of the year it seemed like Ellisen was going to be a key member of the staff but then his performance was not great and overall has taken a step backwards to this point. Nevertheless it seems like there could have been some opportunities in the midweek at some point to work him back in either as a starter or bulk reliever. Hopefully today is a sign of a return to form because we could really use someone like what he showed last year for the postseason.Much like Quinn, I’m not sure why Ellisen hasn’t started somewhere at sometime this season.
