With the onset of midweek games against New England opponents, it is quite possible we'll start seeing some of the lesser used pitchers on the UConn pitching staff. Joe Simeone would be one such candidate. Of course, this is dependent on the score and whether or not UConn becomes involved in a blowout, preferably with the Huskies being the ones doing the blowing out.
 
Let's hope for lively UConn bats......
 
Yeah, if our offense does what it is supposed to do vs. CCSU midweek pitching, it will be hard for them to keep up. If we could beat Coastal in a midweek shootout, then on paper our odds of winning this look good.

Sadly college baseball is too wacky for me to be overly confident!
 
Susi still out. The way Toppa has been hitting and getting on base this season, right now he is well suited for the 3 spot in the lineup.

Bottom 1st, Central leadoff hitter singles and eventually scores. Kersten follows with 2 strikeouts, stranding another runner at 3B. 1-0 CCSU going to the top of the 2nd.
 
Chris Jones says that Susi barring any setbacks should be able to catch on Friday.
 
Why is Phillips stealing. Does he have speed I am unaware of?

Does the WHUS Sports stream usually play music over Chris because I don’t remember this happening last year
 
Penders may need to give a little pep talk. This just has a lousy feeling to it. 3 innings in and the bats are dead and aside from a gift call on defense se could be a larger deficit. Cannot lose these midweek games. Please motivate!
 
All of our bullpen arms should be available with no game tomorrow.

Kirsten has done an admirable job...we need to start hitting.

If they are gonna play music on the broadcast, can't it at least be good music? (I am sure the music is a glitch but I digress).

Kersten out after 5. Rossomondo starts B6 inning w/ 4 pitch walk...
 
Feldstein rips a ball right at soneone to end the inning, then Ronnie comes on and starts throwing everywhere except the strikezone.

That was clearly a failed pitching change... walks first two batters, sac bunt and naturally gives up a hit to score two. 3-1 B6

Walks, why? On a day where hits are coming at a premium you give them 2 free passes. Really just ridiculous.
