UConn Captain?

I don’t know if this has been discussed elsewhere on this forum, but I need to ask BY’ers if UConn WBB has ever had a designated team captain before?

I know UConn WBB has been blessed with more than its share of great leaders, but for the life of me, I just don’t recall the team designating an official team captain, as they have done with Evina.

Evina is one of 3 captains. The other 2 are Christyn and Liv.

This has been reported on and discussed on the board.

Whatever the process, the fact that Evina, never having played a minute at UConn, has been named one of the team captains, is a wonderful testament to her hard work and leadership. It also flies in the face of the perception of some over on VolNation that Evina was selfish.
