Bottom 2nd, first 2 Cal Poly batters reach on a Huber error and a walk. A balk advances both runners into scoring position with 1 out. A 2 out single drives in 2 runs to make it 3-0 for Cal Poly going to the top of the 3rd.
 
Chris Jones says UConn will play a series against Cal Berkeley next season, second week of the season again.
 
Bottom 3rd, Cooke with a 1-2-3 inning with 2 strikeouts. 3-1 Cal Poly. Cooke has 5 strikeouts so far, and has thrown 70 pitches.

Bottom 4th, Cooke strikes out 2 more hitters during a 1-2-3 inning. 3-1 Cal Poly.
 
Have to admit, when I saw the lineup I said why is Broadhurst in there. Now I know why
 
Top 5th, Morton follows the back to back homers with a 2 out double, but is left on base.

Also, Broadhurst is a righty hitter, and the Cal Poly starter is a lefty. The UConn guys most likely to Dan Hurley instead of Broadhurst are also lefty hitters.
 
Bottom 5th, a leadoff solo homer off of Cooke, 4-3 Cal Poly. Cal Poly with a 1 out 2 run homer to make it 6-3. Have to think Cooke is coming to the end of his pitching stint, doubt he will come out to the mound for the 6th inning.

Top 6th, UConn offense with a scoreless inning, 6-3 Cal Poly.

Tom Ellisen coming in to pitch for UConn.
 
Bottom 6th, after the homer Cal Poly loads the bases with 1 out, including 2 walks. Ellisen gets out of the inning with no more runs scoring.

Jude Abbadessa was warming up that inning.

Top 7th, after the homer, UConn loads the bases in a 2 out rally attempt, but they are left on base. 7-5 Cal Poly.

Will Nowak takes the mound for UConn to start the bottom of the 7th.
 
Bases loaded and Nowak walks in a run w/ two outs. That’ll do it for Nowak and that’ll do it for me. 0819 train to MSG in the morning.

Fogell coming to the mound to close out the inning.

 
Bottom 7th, with 2 outs and the bases loaded, Nowak gives up a walk to bring in a run, 8-5 Cal Poly. Nowak with 3 walks and a hit by pitch this inning. Fogell coming in to pitch.

Top 8th, UConn offense loads the bases with 2 outs, Freeberger drives in 2 runs with a single, 8-7 Cal Poly going to the bottom of the 8th. Fogell still on the mound for UConn.
 
Bottom 8th, Fogell strikes out the first batter, Devin Kirby coming in to pitch. A walk and a single put 2 runners on base with 1 out, but a 2 out double drives in 2 runs to make it 10-7 Cal Poly going to the top of the 9th.

Top 9th, Simmons with a lead off homer, 10-8 the score. Studley hit by a pitch, Dalena pinch hits and gets a single to put 2 runners on base, Drew Kron pinch runs for Dalena. Broadhurst drives in a run with a 1 out double to make it 10-9. Smith with an rbi ground out to tie the game at 10, with a runner at 3B. Game tied at 10 going to the bottom of the 9th.
