Bottom 6th, Finnegan quickly retires the side in order. 7-2 BC.

Top 7th, Minick gets a leadoff walk, but is picked off, a scoreless inning for the UConn offense. 7-2 BC.

Bottom 7th, Finnegan has a 1-2-3 inning ending on a strikeout. 7-2 BC.

Wondering if we may see more of Finnegan during the rest of the season. Chris Jones said he had some injuries earlier in the season.

Top 8th, UConn offense has a scoreless inning ending on a double play hit into by Morton after a 1 out hit by pitch. 7-2 BC.

.-.
Bottom 8th, Finnegan gives up a leadoff double, and a 1 out single puts runners at the corners. Garbowski throws out a stolen base attempt of 2B, but the runner from 3B scores on the play. 8-2 BC going to the top of the 9th.

Top 9th, with 1 out UConn offense get 2 runners on base, but they are stranded. BC wins 8-2.

My brother called during the middle of the inning.

Big series this weekend. Bats showed up early and not again. Had chances but caught stealings, double plays will kill any hope for a rally. Min 2 out of 3 is needed on road. Hate to say that but need to string together some conf wins to play for seeding in BE tourney.

To win the Big East. Take 2 out of 3 against Georgetown and we're absolutely in the mix to win.

Pitching for Georgetown series will be interesting. My guess is we see Cooke return to start, Quigley moves up from Sunday and last game goes back to Coe?

Idk why Quigley isn’t the Fri night guy anymore. It’s not necessarily about his stats but you know what ur getting almost every start. Coe is similar but with more volatility. At least they’d have that to go off. If Cooke starts and gets lit up their right back to square one with no clearer picture of the wknd rotation. They don’t have an Ace, per sey, but 3-4 good pitchers. Quinn might be the best. I hope he comes back next season. Regardless, I’m for a series win this wknd if not a sweep.

1. Have to take two out of three if they want to stay in the race to win the conference regular season championship.

2. They certainly don't have 3-4 good starting pitchers. They have 3 or 4 guys who might be good on a particular night, but not a one you can count on. Yes, Quigley has been the most consistent, but he's not a weekend starter for us most of the last ten years. Not even close.

No argument here. I do believe they have 3-4 good pitchers but consistency they lack. You’re right though, if ur comparing any recent staff, no their not close.

This is why I constantly reference recruiting.
