Terrific 7 innings for Kersten. He is on a big roll today. No reason for him to not start the 8th.
 
Outhitting them 11-2, yet we are only up 2-0. Hopefully we do not regret the missed opportunities.

BC pitcher throws away a Woodworth sac bunt, scoring a run by Moriarty, who pinch ran for Fedko. 3-0 UConn.
 
Double play ends the threat :(

Gotta get 3 more outs. How much would it be to ask for a stress free bottom of the 9th?

Feldstein grounds into a double play to end the inning. On to the bottom of the 9th. Moriarty goes to 3B, Woodworth to 2B. Kerstin in to start the 9th, he's retired 14 in a row before the inning started. Now 15.
 
2 out, 2 walks for Kersten. Poulin coming in to pitch. Great performance for Kersten.
 
Poulin gets the out and the save, UConn the 4-0 win. Another very nice road victory over BC, that will do the RPI some good.
