Terrible start. Our 3 seniors all strike out in the top of the first. Then Seton Hall gets 2 infield hits, 2 stolen bases and a balk and lead 2-0 after the first.
Good day for catcher Max McDowell so far. Throws out a base stealer in the second inning, then he hits a solo home run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 2-1.
1-4 on the day so far on first pitch swinging. Melley swings at first pitch and grounds into DP with 1st and 2nd in 4th to end the inning. Pitcher had walked the 2 that were on. The first pitch swinging by this team just kills me. I just so disagree with the philosophy of this.
Mazzilli scores on a sac fly by Siena in the 6th inning to tie the game at 2 all. McDowell just threw out a Seton Hall base stealer, his second caught stealing of the game.
1-7 now on the day on first pitch swinging including 2 outs in the 8th with us threatening. Mazzilli who seems to be the biggest culprit of swinging on first pitches grounds out with a man on 2nd and 1 out. Can't remember the last time LJ has had a hit in a clutch situation.
