Mazzilli scores on a sac fly by Siena in the 6th inning to tie the game at 2 all. McDowell just threw out a Seton Hall base stealer, his second caught stealing of the game.

1-7 now on the day on first pitch swinging including 2 outs in the 8th with us threatening. Mazzilli who seems to be the biggest culprit of swinging on first pitches grounds out with a man on 2nd and 1 out. Can't remember the last time LJ has had a hit in a clutch situation.

Kudos to McDowell for picking off his 3rd runner of the game. Very big in the bottom of the 8th after lead off double by Hall.

Atta Boy!!! @YavEfresh 2 out 2 strike single gives Uconn 3-2 lead in top of 9th.

Gotta close - "must" win.

Phew...

Game Notes:
- UConn is 7-0 when Carson Cross starts.
- Jordan Tabakman is second on the team in wins with three; all in relief.
- Max McDowell hit his first career home run.
- UConn played each of its first 24 games on the road; the longest such streak since playing 21 in a row away from home in 2005.
- 2005 was also the last time that UConn did not play a home game in the month of March.
- David Mahaney became the fourth UConn reliever to record a save this season.
