Yeah especially for a NE program!!That's impressive.
Only program in the top 25 that hails from north of the Mason-Dixon other than the two Oregon schools.Yeah especially for a NE program!!
I agree, they looked very comfortable in Norman. When I saw the draw I immediately said that this is a very winnable regional (also said the same thing about the college park regional) without knowing anything about Duke and OU lol (also didn’t know much about Wake and Maryland). When I found out a little bit about Duke and OU I was definitely a little more scared than I was when the bracket came out but never lost confidence. My confidence was through the roof once they beat Duke in the first game of the regional and I said they can really do this. They ended up doing it!! I can feel it, Omaha is SOOOO CLOSEEEE!!! Just need something close to freshman year Cooke and Norman Regional Gabe. Then have Tommy fill the Sunday role nicely with the lineup producing runs and they’ll be in a good spot. I so excited for this season, it’s just 2 weeks away!!!Kendall Rogers and Aaron Fitt pt 1
D1baseball.com has on its website their list of the Top 50 catchers, 1B, and 2B players for the coming season. So far no UConn players have been on these 3 lists. Oh well.
Still, I expect it to be an interesting season in a good way for UConn baseball.
If he does what he's capable of this year I'll bet he's top 20 on that list coming into next year.D1baseball.com has now done a list of the Top 50 players at 3B. No UConn players on that list as well.
I'm expecting Tyler Minick to be at 3B for UConn this season, we will see what happens. I'm expecting good things from him this season after looking good during his freshman season.
Minick and Dalena should hit 15+ HR's each if they stay healthy. Both need to cut down on the K's but they can damage a baseball.Biggest question for me is who will step up to be their 2/3 hole stud. Who will have that OPS over .900?
