Waldrep will probably strike out tons of our hitters. He is long ball prone and walks a lot of people so we can still get on the board.

We seem to be typically slow starters, getting off to an early lead would be nice.

Top 1st, a scoreless inning for the UConn offense after a leadoff walk. No score.

This is certainly one of those all hands on deck games for the pitching staff. UConn certainly needs some productive innings from Coe today.

Bottom 2nd, Florida with a leadoff double, the runner moves to 3B on a fly out for the 1st out. A hit by pitch puts runners on the corners with 1 out. A 2 out walk loads the bases. Another walk brings in a run, 1-0 Florida. A fly out ends the inning with no more runs coming in.

Coe is at 41pitches so far.

Way too many walks and HBP. You are living dangerously with a team like UF. Needs a couple easy innings..

Given the state of the UConn pitching staff, Coe needs to put up a few quality innings from here on in.

Top 3rd, that is it for the UConn offense that inning, but at least they showed some life and tied up the game.

Way to start it Morton…. Stretch into double playing aggressive. Smitty with his get the bat on ball due his job as always..
Coe has to settle down…

Top 4th, UConn offense leaves 2 runners on base after a couple of singles. Game tied at 1.

Broadhurst got screwed on that low splitter.

Much better at bats today despite the lack of runs.

Even though they didn’t score got some guys on base and at least made kid feel a little pressure. Would have liked a deeper Garbo AB…but now guys have seen him and can make some adjustments.
