Top 4th, Garbowski with a leadoff double. Smith with a 1 out RBI single to tie the game at 2. Tammaro doubles to put 2 runners in scoring position. A Freeberger sac fly gives UConn a 3-2 lead. Huber with an RBI single, 4-2 UConn

Joe Carrea was warming in the bullpen for UConn that inning.

Bottom 4th, Carrea takes the mound. He gives up a 1 out solo homer, 4-3 UConn. Carrea gives up a 2 out walk before getting the final out of the inning.

Devin Kirby was warming up that inning.

Appears we are going for the regional rather than the game, considering we are throwing Carrea rather than someone we’ve seen more of this season.
Penders trying to play the blanching act…looks like UConn can score runs today .

We will need to keep hitting if we want to win. Not gonna win this one with pitching imo.

Totally banking on offense today I like going for it like this need double digit runs today

Bottom 5th, after Carrea gives up a leadoff walk, he comes out of the game. Kirby takes the mound.

6 LOB in three innings, plus one out at the plate? (Hard to keep up with no stats available, at least as far as I can get, anyway.)

I went to the FAMU website to get the stat game tracker for this game. From what I can tell, UConn website had the game tracker listed for the second game today.

Bottom 5th, FAMU with a no out bunt single to put 2 runners on base. With 1 out, another bunt single loads the bases. A fielders choice ground out for the 2nd out brings in a run, 5-4 UConn, runners on the corners. A throwing error by Garbowski on a stolen base attempt brings in a run to tie the game at 5. A pop up finally ends the inning with the game tied at 5.

I'm watching on ESPN+. That was a bad challenge by Penders. He was safe by a mile, not even close.

Garbowski throws the ball into center field on an attempted steal, score ties 5-5. Ugh!

Top 6th, UConn offense goes down in order with 2 strikeouts, game tied at 5.
