I assume Uconn set a record tonight. SN had 5 assist. No other player had an assist. Never seen a game when only one player had an assist. That goes to slow how stagnant our offense was.
we played 3 on 5 the whole game... our offense is so hideously obvious. bazz with the ball, lamb and boat coming off curls. either they take a fairly contested jumper off the curl (lamb), or catch and overpenetrate (boat). if neither curler is open, then point guard goes one on one (napier). that sums up our offensive game plan last night. we went inside the first 2-3 plays of the game and then i don't think our bigs touched the ball in the post the rest of the game. listen, our bigs aren't offensive threats, but you've got to at least get some inside/outside action. if you don't, then their defenders will simply hedge out on every screen b/c they know our bigs are not a threat.

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't worry about our bigs either. I'd just have all 5 defenders make a nice little wall around the 3-point line to avoid any penetration, because if you pass it to our bigs they'll probably try an uncontested layup and still miss, and they'd probably miss at least half of their dunk attempts too. Oh, not too mention that they just won't catch the ball anyway, so the defenders could run over and grab it once they bobble the pass.
Sorry, that is all the sarcastic venting I'll do after last night's loss. Just had to get it out somehow.
