AD DB signed an agreement to swap the games in October, 2023. UNC signed off on the agreement on 4/1/25.

We would have been every bit as bad in football as we turned out to be and basketball wouldn’t have had near the resurgence we’ve seen. We are in a far better position for the B12 now than we were then.

yeah.. while none of us here has the answers to the "what-ifs", I also find it hardddd to believe that staying in the AAC would have resulted in a Big12 invite during that last wave that took the top 3 programs. If SMU and Tulane didn't make that cut, I don't see how we would have. (I would assume an AAC Uconn fails to win the 2 mens titles; maybe we still have last year's women's title because Geno's Geno.)

I would agree that though we still don't make the cut as of today, we are far more attractive right now than we would have been.
