So…I’m watching this game and was pretty excited for 5his new USF….however, there are literally <100 people in the stands. Crazy! Hopefully more viewers on TV.

all of the games are in birmingham alabama this year. So only expect the Stallions games to get any in-person attention

What was the reasoning behind it? If it's only to save money on travel, that does not bode well for the viability of the league

Apparently most of the teams don’t have owners currently. Expect full ownership in a year or two. Somewhat suspect.

The hub setting in Birmingham was a hedge against Covid when plans were developed last year.

I think it’s actually pretty smart. This is a TV product, people in the stands are no different than a studio audience. If the league demonstrates some viability then maybe they can talk about playing and practicing in their respective markets.

It actually takes away one of the potential failure vectors for the league as a whole.

Realistically, this league is going to have to be successful on TV right out of the gate.

You know what sucks for a TV-centric league? Being a ratings success, but half your league owners get cold feet and fold because they’re not pulling in enough tickets.
