UConn and the 2026 NFL Draft

63. New England Patriots

Skyler Bell, WR, UConn

Bell has checked all the boxes in this process and sneaks in at the end of Round 2. He silenced questions about his speed at the combine by running a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. Bell is capable of playing inside or on the perimeter and is a three-level threat who could continue to boost quarterback Drake Maye.

Keep Skylar close in New England! Catching passes from Drake Maye just an hour or so up the interstate from UConn would be great for the brand.

.-.
Not technically UConn, but as previously noted, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is a projected first round pick. Charles Davis at NFL.com has the Toledo safety, who played four seasons under Candle, projected 12th overall. Pretty impressive if he goes that high. And a great position for both UConn as a school, and our current coach, to be able to point to lots of recent players making the NFL.

Pay attention to who the LA Rams pick at 13. If they don’t take a WR at 13, then they will likely take one at 61 or 93. They are very high on Skyler Bell for their #3 receiver.

That would be an amazing landing place for him. Payton and Stafford would give his career a great start.
