Again there is a BIG difference between signing as an UDFA and getting a mini-camp invite. A UDFA contact means a player is on the roster heading into training camp. A rookie mini-camp invite like EVERY Husky after Skyler received, is a try-out with out a contract. There are well over 200 players who received UDFA contract since the draft, and not one of them was a HUSKY.

Not one UConn player got a UDFA contract, they got a tryout for a UDFA contract.

I think a contract pretty much means you're going to training camp. An invite means you are going to mini camp with dozens of others who don't have a contract and hoping to stand out and get one.

I think Mora and crew figured out how to win given the current environment. Develop the players you have and keep most of the good ones. Grab productive G6 and lower level players. Find P4 players that were not starters and give them an opportunity to play. And, have an older roster. But, that model is not going to translate to NFL draft picks unless you can keep a Bell until he is a senior.

Bryun Parham was really productive for us this past season. Some players are just ballers without the measurables. He is 5'11" and 211lbs. I am surprised he has no interest from the NFL. Backup LB and special teamer.
