Penn State continues in the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center when the Lady Lions host eight-time National Champion Connecticut on Sunday, Nov. 17. This will mark the first time that the Huskies will play Penn State in Happy Valley since Jan. 8, 1983. UConn did play in the Bryce Jordan Center for the 2006 NCAA Tournament first and second rounds, but did not face the Lady Lions.

BJC holds over 16000..........

It will be their biggest crowd of the year and ND is coming to BJC in early December, as well. Come to State college for the weekend. We will get there on the 15th and come home on the 18th...........Peen State is playing Purdue on Saturday, Nov 16th.........Come see a big time football game in front of 108,000 of my fellow Alums.......You can get tickets........Hotels, call the chamber of commerce....

Hopefully the game is in the afternoon, and thus can capture some of the fans in town for the FB game. Would be great to face a raucous crowd.

Where you staying Milford? Downtown is soooooo expensive. I may use Priority Rewards points and stay at the Holiday Inn downtown.

I booked the Best Western at the Conventional Center...just a couple blocks from the Arena and short walk to the river. Was reasonable. Now just waiting for Southwest Airlines to open their calendar to early April. Can hardly wait for my first FF! Go Huskies!!

The hotel market was surprisingly tight. A month ago, I booked the Sheraton Music City near the airport for $125 per night. It's now full. It's also about 7 miles out, not where I want to be. I'll probably keep 1 or 2 of the 5 nights. The Union Station and Hilton in town looked nice and were among the only hotels with availability. The downside was the rate of $400. I opted to use Marriott points for 3 nights at the Union Station. I like the location, and the property looks totally cool. There are places near the airport in the $100-150 range. Near Vandy, rates are about $200-300. Downtown, there is not much nice left for under $400. One option is the Gaylord Opryland complex for about $199. It's about 8-10 miles out.

I did not check car rental rates, but getting one and staying at the airport (or farther out) seems to be the most economical.

Good luck!

Just don't wear a skirt that their hayseed flight attendants decide is too short.

I remember the old days, when the flight attendants were the BEST looking people on the plane.
