I wonder if the Iowa coach has showed some love to #5 eventually.Caitlyn discussed what Geno said to her. Very appreciative Geno took the time to talk to her
Bruder watched a different game. She seemed very arrogant and basically said it was what they did wrong, not what UConn did right to win this game. She seemed forced to finally give some credit to us with the last question. She and Caitlin said they have a young team with everyone back so they will be ready to compete for the final four. News to them, WE WILL TOO BABY!It wasn't as close as the coach thinks. It went up to 15 then at best to 8 then back to 15. And that last 4 minutes or so nowhere near threatened.
They?OK. Anyone know who Pepper is? They sounded very young....
They?
Geno's arrogance is right up there with the best of them. Same with most big time college coaches in the big sports. It is no wonder Geno and Jim Calhoun basically never talked to each other.Bruder watched a different game. She seemed very arrogant

One additional point is that Bluder is already coaching next year’s team, most of whom will be returning players from this year’s team. She is sending a message that we can play with a team like UConn, and more importantly a team like MD, who Iowa could meet up with 3 times next season in Big Ten play.At seven minutes in the 4th quarter it is a nine point game. At 5:15 of the fourth it is a 10 point game. I think a coach is allowed to say that a game was closer than a 20 point game when they are at 10 points half way through the 4th Q. Most games that are '20 point games' were 30 point games half way through the 4th quarter and then the bench throws clunkers. Uconn often gives back 10 points in slop time. This time around Anna made 100% of her threes, not something we really expect (love it, but ...) and if she missed those shots it would have been 14 points.
Coaches tell a story for their team at the end of the year, and Bluder's story was 'we were in this game and we are not far from being in the regionals and maybe the FF if you dedicate yourselves to this offseason.' She isn't going to say that to her team and then walk out to the press and say 'we got blown away and had no chance.' And how many fans were popping the champagne before the 3 minute mark of the 4th quarter?
A 13 point with 4 minutes left - when was the last time UCONN women lost a game game like that? And how many fans were popping the champagne before the 3 minute mark of the 4th quarter?
Stanford maybe? They certainly had a double digit lead in the 4th in 2014-15.A 13 point with 4 minutes left - when was the last time UCONN women lost a game game like that?
One definite a while back was Duke coming back in 2004 to snap our home win streak. We melted down against the press and after DT broke a tie with a jumper, we lost on a 3 at the buzzer.A 13 point with 4 minutes left - when was the last time UCONN women lost a game game like that?
