Yeah - plus Jefferson is a great scorer, but can be an assist killer. You can get him the ball in deep post position and he'll score 10 seconds later. Kemba's best hope is probably MKG filling a lane on the break - it's the one thing he does well on offense. Late in this game, he happened to get his head down on the drive and had Williams and Neal spotting up (down by 8-10 when threes were helpful). But sometimes the camera angle shows things that are tougher to see from floor level, especially at 6-0.
Charlotte took Zeller with McLemore available while desperately needing a shooter, based on McLemore's supposed immaturity, and he's turned out to be pretty good (and Zeller is pretty much "meh"). Then they took Vonleh this year at the same position. Hayward instead of Stephenson would have been a step in the right direction, but Utah matched. Neal is a better fit than Stephenson, who is redundant with MKG. And MKG was just terrible drafting. Late lottery with a strong offensive team, sure - his skills could fit and make a difference. With the #2 pick in a strong draft and needing some wing scoring, you can't go for a junkyard dog role player. Not only does he not make you much better, his trade value is minimal.
