UConn vs USF 4.jpeg

Katie Lou and Napheesa combined for 39 points against SMU, but couldn't move past their Senior teammates, Kia and Gabby. Kia moved to 18th all-time, passing Swin Cash and Pheesa moved to 27th place, passing Kalana Greene. Here are the latest numbers:

17. Barbara Turner 1,629 points
18. Kia Nurse 1,584
19. Swin Cash 1,583
20. Katie Lou 1,580

24. Moriah Jefferson 1,532
25. Asjha Jones 1,502
26. Gabby Williams 1,471
27. Napheesa Collier 1,454

The final game of the regular season is Monday against USF on Senior Night in Storrs. Should be emotional and bittersweet..!!

Go Huskies..!!

Too much talk of records! On great teams and programs, records take care of themselves.
Remember the famous quote about the men's game: "the only person to hold Michael Jordan under 20 points, was Dean Smith".
The absolute joy for me in rooting for this team is their incredible unselfishness! Good shots get passed up for great shots. They do things to be the most successful they can be. Against SMU, Pheesa passed up an open 3 to Lou for a similarly open 3. If they have an open layup, they lay it in, no showboating, no passing off the glass, looking for the leading scorer, etc. It is basketball in its purest form.
How many men's CBB or NBA games, in which you see so many forced shots, or at the best, passing to an open shooter that can't shoot (center or power forward).

Gabby looks up to Moriah. When she passes Mo on the scoring list, I’m sure she’ll feel a sense of pride and satisfaction.

Why I gave up watching NCAA MBB and the Not Basketball Anymore: the SHOWBOATING, especially after doing something that is far from extraordinary.

And why I am addicted to UConn WBB!!!!!
