Too bad the BIG 12 doesn't sponsor men's soccer ....

That's OK. I am sure the Big East would welcome having UConn back for Men's Soccer (as they do for Field Hockey). UConn is one of the elite soccer programs, with a large fan following and one of the best game-days in soccer. UConn could get back to playing traditional soccer rivals like Georgetown, St Johns, Seton Hall. Plus the BE has some other high quality programs like Creighton and Butler.

Sure, yet the Big 12 likely acknowledges the overall success and championships of athletic programs and the achievement of their student athletes/alumni. A few more UConn all stars, this time in soccer is a positive, and it's highly likely Herbst, Benedict, Rubin, Tranghese, et al, include soccer national titles, league championships, and even alumni successes in their presentations.
