Well Napier could right- they might hold them to 35 points!

Very impressed with Daniels. With his form, and AD pushing AO to the 4,it's gonna be hard for Roscoe to see the floor. He needs to keep his head up

Although... AD could be in frequent foul trouble if tonight is any indication

how many minutes did napier play?
A lot. They played Lamb at the point in the first half but the offense went stagnant. I'm pretty sure Shabazz played the entire second half until they put the walkons in with a couple minutes to go.

Too many for my taste, the boxscore shows him logging 35 minutes. I'm going to guess/hope that with Boatright around he would have gotten a bit more rest.

I think Daniels gets the starting role this year, unless Roscoe shows he's can produce more on offense. If tonight was any indication, this team needs some help putting the biscuit in the basket.

As good a defender as Roscoe is, JC can still put a good defensive team out there with him on the bench. It's hard to say the same about the offense at this early stage when Daniels isn't out there.

Daniels may get the starting role but whoever said Roscoe will have a tough time getting PT is making a huge exaggeration.

I see Roscoe's minutes going down from last year. Daniels can play defense on 2s, 3s, and some 4s, he has a great shot and runs the floor EVERY time. Daniels should get 4-6 points on fast breaks alone. if he can create a few shots/ get to the line in the half court a few times per game and hit 1-2 threes on average that will give him 10-12 points. I just don't see how daniels doesn't get 25+ minutes. Olander looked great and his added size will definitely help him. AO and AD will be beasts this season and should get 60+ minutes combined. Giffey will see some time at the 3. If roscoe doesn't show improvements in his shot from last year, it's gonna be a frustrating year for him baring injury to other players

"AmoreCourant: Calhoun : roscoe smith violated team commitment, so he sat first half. But now its over."

Well tonight was up and down. Encouraged by Daniels. Looks quicker than I thought. Lonnng arms. He can def play. Drummond looked a little hesitant. Needs to be more assertive; but not much of a concern considering the huge expectations for him and his long awaited debut. He picked it up at the end. Needs to adjust to the mask as well. Lamb looks like he is gonna be un-guardable at times this year. Bazz needs to stop dribbling so much and jacking up late 3's. I expect Olander to have a very good year. Looks bigger and he can still knockdown jumpers. AO didnt show much either way (neither good nor bad just ehhh). Giffey looked aggressive which is positive. CANT WAIT to see Boatright. Were gonna need him this year. Allen looked athletic and like a legit D1 athlete so thats encouraging. All in all it was a decent performance with much improvement needed but certainly a positive base to build on. Just gotta iron out the wrinkles, but we are extremely long, quick, and athletic thats for sure!
