Very nice story about the young 14 year old boy who died in the Florida school shooting and wanted to attend UCONN (his mother and cousin were alumni).
Alex Schachter, a teen who died in a mass shooting at a Florida high school this month, dreamed of attending the University of Connecticut. But while his life was cut short, the college recently made sure he'd be a Husky forever.
In a Feb. 21 letter, UConn admissions director Nathan Fuerst offered Schachter, 14, posthumous admission as a music major.
