UConn @ AAC Media Days (July 23/24)

Please do yourself a favor and never post another number it makes you look like a complete fool.

I’ve explained to you where this is going and how it ends. You should start trying to identify who you are going to blame 5 years from now.

Please respond to the FAIRTIDES list of accomplishments.

Note: Closed Torrington. Moved UConn WHartford to Hartford. Actually got the Technology Incubator off the board ... after 20 years of fubar. Storrs Center shining. Quality + Quantity enhanced in student body. Universally lauded for upgrades in faculty recruitment and retention. Endowment significantly increased.

What do you know about Health Campuses nationally?

What do you see as the problem on that list?

What number are you focused on? You have alternative uses for Rentschler? Shenkman? Burton?

You explained nothing. You are prophetic? In what universe. We got into the Big East by a fluke in 1979. There is simply a chance that things can happen for this University in the next decade. The Media rights revenue today could have a different story.

OK

Leave the Athletic mindset for a moment: "Expanding the School of Engineering was one of Herbst’s major goals. In 2010, the school’s total enrollment – both graduate and undergraduate – was 2,643. In the fall of 2017, the total enrollment had swelled to 4,170 – an increase of more than 57 percent."

UConn Engineering has been a core qualitative advantage this State University has had over like State Universities in near Northeastern states. This President set the improvement and growth as a GOAL. Nobody can say this was not her ... and just fluky timing. This denigrating of Herbst is ignorant.

I’m tired of explaining a simple concept to you but
1. Relative to the market gains the endowment increase is unimpressive
2. You don’t need an alternative use for
Rentschler. Google sunk cost. That might be where you need to start. Burton and the Shenk? Um other teams and the actual
student body?
3. I don’t need to know about health campuses nationally. I know UConn health is on the fast train to insolvent. Clearly you are willing to pour other’s money into a black hole if it says UConn on the sign - it ain’t gonna happen. It’s a dead man walking.
4. The media rights barely have anything to do with this discussion. The only bearing they have is when people can see the $50 million subsidy the state is paying for
athletics because the rights are zilch is going to cause a lot of noise.

Seriously - use google and get up to speed. You don’t have to be prophetic to see what is
coming just able to handle addition and
subtraction.

As we all know ... you’ll continue this crap for weeks.

There’s a little fact check on the Endowment you should do.
Making Central Connecticut a draw in medical research and operation - tied to Yale is ... huge.
Nobody ... and only a Atlantic City Casino owner thinks that way ... walks away from a $200m State Investment. That’s not sunk cost. That’s a 40 year Commitment.

And then there’s about 10 other notable Herbst accomplishments. In a wide view of 15 like State Universities in the Northeast, I can think of only ONE that is near her list.

whaler11 can spout. He’s got no stake in what really matters to the future stakeholder - like Value of Your Degree. Go ahead ... discuss Rutgers or UALBANY or Delaware. Herbst did a great job. 8 year tenure ain’t running away. It’s about standard.

You can’t comprehend a sunk cost and you have no idea what is going on at the Medical center - please stop. A huge draw in medicine for overpaid professors who do so little they can be dead for 6 months and nobody notices.

And LOL at a no nothing out of state stooge telling me I have no stake. Maybe more random capitalized words and pleas to your father’s authority will sell it.

It’s a total coincidence she is heading for he hills the second things got tough - lol. What brave leadership she showed soaking the state to pay for useless administrators and then disappearing at the first sign of a challenge.

Keep bragging about the money spent. Like I said - winter is coming in spite of the fact you can’t note the chill in the air. Maybe the pension liability will magically disappear and the campus won’t crumble to the ground and the medical center won’t be boarded up or sold for scrap.

Maybe you live close enough they will let you vote in November. Perhaps Joe Ganim can embezzle enough to keep up appearances.
