Tonight against SMU. I actually think they will cover the spread. It will be a close game.
We haven't been able to get over the hump on the road. If you take out the Memphis loss, our other 3 road losses are by a combined 9 points.Kenpom has SMU by 11.
I am a little surprised how low the line is considering how good SMU is at home and how bad we are on the road.
To bad teams, all significantly worse than SMU.We haven't been able to get over the hump on the road. If you take out the Memphis loss, our other 3 road losses are by a combined 9 points.
I'm with you. And you are right, SMU is better than Tulsa, Ohio St and Georgetown. Just pointing out we had the lead in the 2nd half of all of those games. We aren't getting crushed on the road. But tonight is a huge test for them. If somehow we could get SMU in foul trouble...they have no depth in the front court. None.To bad teams, all significantly worse than SMU.
I hope I am wrong but I do not see them winning this game, I need to see this beat someone with a pulse on the road first.
Unfortunately neither do weif somehow we could get SMU in foul trouble...they have no depth in the front court. None.
We're winning this game...if Brimah stays out of foul troubles
If .....
If all goes well ...
If Brimah plays 25 minutes avoiding foul trouble then ...
If Purvis can shoot better than 35% on 3's, then ...
If the defense can cut off penetration, then ...
If the whole team commits to defensive rebounding, then ...
If they hit their free throws, particularly down the stretch, then ...
If Adams can get 2-3 minutes of properly timed rest each half, then ...
If Jackson continues to hit his open 3's, drive when it's available, then...
If they go to Facey often enough to make the perimeter D look inside, then ...
...
Ever get the feeling that a lot has to go right for this plucky squad to win a tough road game?
