Opener.

St. Johns has been playing well, I expect this to be close throughout.

It won’t be close.

Can we get the list of 50 coaches better than Hurley?
Maybe not 50, but CBS Sports website listed 30 that they thought were better before the season started last year.

KenPom line is 7. It's wild how much Vegas is shading towards us. 3.5 points is massive, especially since it's a "road game" or semi-road as KenPom has it. And it has not been enough. Not near enough.

Vegas has no idea how to deal with the fact that we can beat anybody by 30. Our margin has an extremely long tail. It's pulling the spread higher but I don't think that's the answer. The answer is just to have lower odds on the alternative spreads, but I haven't looked closely enough to see if that's the case.

Need a quick start tomorrow. Can't let them get confidence. Make free throws and don't miss bunnies.

My heart tells me that after that first half we are on the same type of zone where we run teams out of the building. Jump on the train now.

Garden should be rockin'. Classic Big East battle. I expect the Jonnies to play tough but we take this one.

A road game for St Johns

That's a good analysis

He is gonna beat that "nobody believes us, we have no chance to win" drum in the players heads for 24 straight hours.

Tomorrow isn't going to be as easy as freescooter thinks.
He’s making sure he doesn’t give us any bulletin board material. Hurley knows not to sleep on Rick at all though. He’s been doing this way too long not to have some tricks up his sleeve.

Pitino will have all the refs in his pocket - like all his candies and coins. This will be close. SJ has been playing defense the last few weeks and the crowd will be wild for them. I might actually take SJs with this large spread.

St. John’s has yet to play UConn at full strength and still lost twice. Missing Karaban last game and Clingan the first game.

I expect them to press us then drop into different zones, traps. Etc. They are very deep. Go like 10 deep. Play solid D and don’t let them go off from 3 and we should win. Also, let’s not have our starters go 5-18 from three again.

Last game Clingan was in foul trouble played only 16 minutes. Can’t have that this time.

As soon as the final buzzer went off last night against Seton Hall my first thought was, we’re getting the white suit tomorrow night….

Beyond excited for this game, Garden will be electric

LETS GOOOOO CONNECTICUT!

Sorry Johnies. Just be happy you got yourself an NCAA bid.
