Top 2nd, a scoreless inning for the UConn offense after a two out single.

Good range and catch from Kyler for the third out.

The coaching staff loves the defense of both Kyler Fedko and Chris Winkel in the outfield, which no doubt helps to get them both back into the starting lineup.

Top 3rd, a double play keeps UConn at the minimum 3 at bats. 2-1 Texas Tech.

.-.
Bottom 3rd, Casparius struggling with control again walking the first two hitters and throwing a wild pitch as well. Runners on 1st and 2nd and no out.

Top four guys in the Tech line up have not put the ball in play yet two times thru

Bottom 3rd, Casparius strikes out the next two hitters, then gives up an rbi single to make it 3-1 Texas Tech with 2 out. A fly out ends the inning.

We've gone from Umps last week who had a strike zone in the opposing batters box to an Ump today who is squeezing the zone. A lot of Ben's pitches look good.

Ben with 79 pitches thru 3, going to need the bullpen today

Assuming Casparius does not go much longer, it could be a very long and busy weekend and for the UConn bullpen.

They are certainly all competitive pitches, it is hard to tell where the plate is on the feed

And Chris Jones has said that with his angle from where he is sitting, he can't really tell if pitches are over the plate.

Top 4th, UConn goes down in order. Kyler Fedko with 2 strikeouts on the day.

Bottom 4th, Casparius with a 1-2-3 inning, he also has 7 strikeouts on the day.

.-.
Top 5th, Chris Winkel with a lead off walk, and steals 2B. A terrific diving catch in the outfield leads to a double play with Winkel not able to make it back to the base on time.

Game plan to lefties has clearly been work away for Casparius. Problem is Jace Jung not falling for it, 3bb on the day.
