UConn -5.5 @ SHU | The Boneyard

UConn -5.5 @ SHU

Pretty shocking line movement, but guessing the sharp folks view it as a good buy low spot. Can't see anyone who has watched us recently laying that # on the road.

I feel like this will either be a comfortable 10-point win or another horrible loss. I don't see much in between.

I'd be tempted to take UConn ATS and Seton Hall moneyline (I assume they're +180 or so).

So you think on a total of $200 bet ($100 each way) its smart to leave yourself these outcomes +$70, $0, and -$210?

I took St John’s ML last game but staying away from this one. We can easily have a bounce back game with guys playing loose.

From past experience missing the coach many times leads to an increase in energy and team focus. Not sure if we’ll see it tonight or not, but many times when JC was out we’d play some of our best ball.

He surely must have meant take UConn moneyline and SH with the points. I did that in the Creighton game. Was close, but I broke even. A basket away from cashing both.

Hurley announces he won’t be there and the spread goes up?
Its almost like the people who make the lines understand that its the players on the floor which determine the outcome of these games. Wild concept for some around here.

It's the multiple game absences (and/or coach can't create gameplans due to recovery) when you might start to see some teams struggle. The assistants end up having to take on more responsibilities and its just more on less acomplished people's plates.
