UConn 2026 Outbound Portal Transfers (*No transfer speculation until announced/posted*)

Came across this from Rhode Island's Director of Scouting that hints at a UConn transfer heading there.

Who did they sign from our roster last year? I just scrolled through the outbound list and didn't see anyone. The only one I know they offered is Rosa but he signed with Ohio

Edit: sorry, didn't see the part of your post below the image and didn't realize it hasn't been announced

If he can stay healthy. That has been the issue for him.
a bit of what if's if he had stayed at UConn- Auburn turned out to be not so good move - bad luck, call it what you will. CS bit of downgrade for him IMO.

I'm not sure, but if you hit the portal and never got picked up by a new team, can you play for your old team? That's one thing I'm unsure about? I saw a few players from last year who didn't get signed.

Only if you're offered a roster spot. It happens every year that kids finish their careers by entering the portal.

My bad for missing this if already mentioned.. but it's nice to see former UConn kicker Joe McFadden on Nevada's roster...

Hope he finishes his college career strong:

Is there any list/spreadsheet that shows what schools UConn Football players transferred to (in late 2025/26). Thanking you in advance. 👍

“The transfer portal has been closed since mid-January. Rosters aren’t completely set — players in the portal can sign with a new school up until the start of classes in the fall — but the majority of transfers have selected their next destination…”

-> Of the 1,506 players who left Group of 6 schools, 31.6 percent signed with a Power 4 school, 27 percent moved to another G6 school and 12.5 percent ended up going below the FBS level.

Memphis, which lost coach Ryan Silverfield to Arkansas, lost more players to the portal (49) than any other G6 program. UConn (44), Coastal Carolina (39), Appalachian State (38), Georgia State (38) and Arkansas State (38) are next on the list. <-

-> No FBS team reeled in more players via the portal than UConn. Jason Candle, who replaced Jim Mora at UConn, signed 56 transfers, including 22 from the Power 4 ranks (tied for second-most among G6 schools). Candle also brought 22 players from Toledo. <-

Is this to say 30% of G6 portal entries didn't land anywhere?

Puts things into perspective. For better or worse, this team is entirely new, not like any other roster. Will be at least a clean slate for Candle to work with

Love this blurb. Positions us as not P4, not G6, but something else entirely.

I read those last two quotes as specifically including us in G6:
"Lost more players to the portal than any other G6 program..."
"(Tied for second most among G6 schools)"
