WM has suggested plenty of times that to get some big names......we MAY have to play in a different venue.

Cincinnatti plays Vir Tech in Washington DC.....and wins

Syracuse plays USC in Giant Stadium

Michigan plays Alabama in Texas

etc., etc..........

UConn BB plays in Germany & V Islands......

UConn BB plays in Madison Square Garden .......EVERY YEAR (almost)

If we want to be a FB BIG BOY and play with the FB BIG BOYS.......we have to act like a FB BIG BOY.......until we take a giant step for the program, we'll continue to crawl at an infants pace.

Look what Fresno State did within the last decade and got positive press......"We will play anyone, anytime, any where"......and ended up with a program with more signature wins than UConn.

You mean to say no one will go and support the Husky's if the only play to get a game (at this time) against the BIG BOYS is at a different venue? I guess everyone would also revolt if Notre Dame says they'll play UConn at Fenway.

I love the way people think WM has a way to force Michigan to honor that contract. This is NCAA Football...contracts mean nothing. Hell, Michigan could buy us out and replace the date with a marshmallow home game (which will be a sellout at 110k seats) and basically break even. I hope the game takes place at the Rent, but if the choice is Metlife or nothing....take Metlife.

Isn't there a point in time that Michigan can't buy out the game? It's pretty hard to get a replacement game this late, would think they no longer have an out in the contract, they can always cancel anyway but then have to live with the consequences which may or may not be the same as the buy out.

How much warning did we have when Hofstra dropped it's program? Seemed like it was literally last minute.
