That was a rough PP goal to give up - they just about had it killed. No clue how that made it through the traffic undeflected.
 
Once again Cavanaugh can make some March tee times...

Okay - he's safe this year, but that's it. Benedict get ready! If we go through another year of under achievement, Cavanaugh has to go. He's got some great qualities, but being an inspirational HC isn't one of them. The level of talent on this team was at least good enough to be in the 8 out of 11 group. The is a coaching issue - pure and simple.

Don't expect to get a quality candidate to replace him. The issue at UMass was AD support not facilities. They have an Athletic Director that supports the program now and Carver is a good coach. The facility issue is a HUGE for UConn right now. There has definitely been an uptick in recruiting since his first class. I think next year will be fun to watch. @brasssbonanzaa feel free to add to this
