I’ve always thought Rebecca gave the league instant visibility and credibility. Without her it might well have failed.

Ditto for Uconn wcbb, signing Rebecca was the catalyst for the rise of Uconn from unknown to it's decades of dominance. She was not the greatest player in either the WNBA or Uconn wcbb but there is little doubt about how impactful she was for both.
