The Yalie comes through vs Harvard…
Familiar ice for him.The Yalie comes through vs Harvard…

I am more interested in the Hockey East Tournament. Let’s win a round in the Hockey East tournament before we concern ourselves with the ncaa tournament. Maybe win a round in HE this year, two rounds the following year, then make a push for the HE final four in Boston say in the next 5-6 years. UConn on the right track. These non-conference games are crucial for NCAA tournament qualification. While HE games are the #1 priority, these are #1a.
I’m more interested in just winning games…let’s have a winning record for once. This team should be shooting for way more than one win in the HE tournament.I am more interested in the Hockey East Tournament. Besides the two that are out tonight - gotta wonder how many haven’t seen much ice time lately…Nothing from Johnny or Vlad tonite. These are the guys we need to step up.
Firstov had one sog tonight but managed to be plus 3. Evans had 3 SOG, but managed to be minus 3.Besides the two that are out tonight - gotta wonder how many haven’t seen much ice time lately…
We got outscored 4-3 in the last two periods. Bad penalties, inability to capitalize on the power play….I could go on and on. Shots on goal mean nothing. Don't get me wrong…Harvard is a good team, but we did not play well tonight. We are 8-7. Honestly we should have 3 more wins. I hope that bodes well down the stretch and we start winning these games where we have a clear advantage. The last two periods were all UConn.
Where did you get that? This is from the pregame press briefing…”The UConn Huskies will kick-off the second half of the season on Sunday, January 2 with a match-up against the Harvard Crimson on the road, the first-ever meeting between the two teams on the ice.”My dorm mate from Stowe's kid played for Harvard. Hes in AHL now. They are good, always. I think we are 0-10 all time now? No disgrace we've beat everyone else including Yale
Same old, same old.The power play continues to haunt us…both ways.
Agree on penalties and PP still an issue. However we were much better team in last two periods. Shots reflected this but if you did not see that from watching not sure what to say. Hanson also did not have a good game. Team learning how to win. Hoping it pays dividends later. We got outscored 4-3 in the last two periods. You’re not the better team if you lose 6-3. To me it’s just that simple.Agree on penalties and PP still an issue. However we were much better team in last two periods.
