UConn -16.5 vs. Providence

Betting UConn to cover the spread has been an awful decision this year and the BE games have been even worse. Anyone betting UConn to cover is a fool. Yes, you'll be right a few times, but it's not a smart season-long play this year.

Two chances left to cover the spread this month, currently have not covered a single game in January

They have injuries, they're in a 1-4 tailspin, I believe they're only going 7 deep (8 in emergencies), we're due for a night we click on all cylinders.

Be ready for the mass exodus of old timers with 4 minutes left in this route.

I think we cover. We’re due and PC is in a tail spin. They have nothing left to play for
PC will always have us to play for but I agree with you. This is the week where we start playing more dominant basketball. This team will continue to confound any theory we have about who we think they are.

If they truly think they're playing for their coach's job that can be a problem.

The wheels may be coming off for Providence, but they always get up for playing us, are probably fuming over their loss to us a few weeks ago while confident they can hang with us, and we're not exactly firing on all cylinders or showing a killer instinct for blowing someone out.

It’s down to 14.5 in some spots and I’m tempted but it’s been awhile since we blew anyone out. No mullins, I’m not sure it will happen. But I don’t want to root for a providence cover.

My desire to start betting against UConn and the spread is overwhelming... I just know the second I do, I lose the $. But, I mean, have the odds makers actually watched us? I feel like we never cover.

I predict a victory - again, higher scoring that is close throughout. I'm feeling 83-75 with free throws widening the margin. Key will be getting Oswin in foul trouble. If we do, we blow them out. But with Mullins out, I anticipate PC overplaying everything, and Tarris ends up standing awkwardly with the ball at the 3-point line, trying to take people off the dribble.

I would actually be delighted if my bet on Providence +16.5 spurs a late-season run of actually looking like a 1 seed and dominating lesser opponents. You're welcome, everyone.

I hate to say it, but any line double digits or above for us seems like free money to bet the under
