Don’t think Vomacka ever saw that one.

Unreal....too many penalties...maybe if we could score on ours as well, it wouldn’t matter as much.

Here’s a chance to turn this around.

Special teams were an issue last season and it looks like that hasn’t really changed much.( 2019-20 stats below, opp on far right)

They need to play the best 3rd period of their lives to pull this one out.

Good grief!

They play so hard, so well, at even strength. But penalties in the first two minutes of both the first and second (after ten seconds in the second!) periods? This has been an issue for several years. Stop putting yourselves behind the eight ball. Show some discipline.

Then................................................. there is our (almost) worst-in-the-nation power play. Ugly.

Can we finish in the top half of HE? Absolutely. We've played three versus UMass, two versus BC, one versus UML, and our next league game is against Providence. The best teams in the league. But we need to scavenge some points against these guys before the opportunity for wins against, UVM, Merrimack, UNH and Maine. BU and Northeastern are of unknown quality to date.

The season is far from over, and I am really pleased with our overall play. Just stay out of the box, and convert when the other guy is in it.
