UConn -1.5 vs USC. Thoughts?

surprised we're favored. kinda didnt want a loss to be viewed as a big disappointment after the first 2 games

I felt this was going to be a pick’em going in. Not surprised to see this. Line could sway the other way by tomorrow’s tip.

Team is so raw at the moment as Hurley is integrating all these new pieces. Have to favor USC with the Mobley brothers. Line should honestly be -4/-3, despite the game being played at a neutral CT site.

Close spread y’all! Good guys -1.5

The biggest thing I learned from that story was Cal Baptist is in the top 300 in KenPom. Yikes.

Money seems to like us. We were a 22 point favorite against Hartford as well. Always trust money.

.-.
Kinda strange. We're 8 spots worse in KenPom. Are they giving us a measure of home court advantage? USC has been in time zone for like 5 days, there are no fans, and it's not our home court so they shouldn't...

You wonder if UCONN is a public team as in the national notoriety lends itself to inflated lines??? I like the talent he has amassed, but it's going to take a few weeks to mold them into his desired image.

Nobody knows nothin' when it comes to predicting teams like this, or any bubble game pretty much. Even the coaches don't really know how these teams will match up. And Hurley admittedly doesn't know what to expect or who was even starting until maybe last night.

Line has already moved to a pickem. Could be usc -2 by tomorrow, who knows. Let’s just win the damn game.

Seems like the odds makers feel that is a number that should get close to 50/50 money thrown down on each team.

I guess this means its a must win for the good guys.

When two similarly ranked teams go head-to-head, the edge almost always goes to the team with better guard play.

UConn's backcourt is much stronger than USC's. Ethan Anderson or Tahj Eaddy would be our 4th best guard.

How about 40 minutes of sustained effort?? Too much talent to go through the motions .W's will be the result
Especially with the depth we have. No reason not to push it as hard as you can while you’re out there.

Has to be taken into consideration that USC is 2500 miles and 3 time zones from home.

They’ve been in bubbleville for a while.
I know, still I'd just thinking we're getting some benefit from being "home", which iss usually 3 points or so.

I'm not expecting much against an above average Power 6 team at this juncture. Playing CCS and Hartford may have been a disservice and the Vanderbilt cancellation was inopportune.

That’s more so for the crowd than the travel.

Dan usually gets the guys ready for big games. Think Florida, Cuse, Cincy, Memphis, Houston. Even last year close efforts against Xavier, Indiana, Villanova, Wichita State.
We’ll have a solid opportunity to win the game down the stretch, we need a closer. Hopefully Bouk takes over and stays out of foul trouble.

I said if USC was getting points I was gonna take em. We shouldn't be favored here.
So if USC is getting 1 point you will be rooting for us to lose? Your wallet is more important than winning?
