Keep in mind it’s early days and some teams haven’t gotten into the meat of their schedules yet

Fascinating, but why do I have this little head ache centered just above my eyes? Seriously, love the detail. Me thinks LSU will be hanging about as the NCAAs come into view.

UConn develops data on just about every facet that can be measured and he only looks at some of them occasionally. After going through all of this I can understand why. Aspirin anyone?

Agree about LSU being around at the end, but the stats are also based on the SOS and their current SOS is 191 (Duke game isn't yet factored in which will help a little (they are the first Quad2 team to go with their lone Quad3 opponent to date), but will quickly be off-set by their next 5 cupcakes (all Quad4 I believe.) - you have to go way done the Massey rankings to find a worse schedule - AZ St at #52 is the first that has played such a dreadful schedule. At least Kim is probably sitting the starters when the MOV gets to 40 so the bench can get some run in the second quarter.

Clarifying the terminology a bit, this group of stats is not based on SOS at all. There are numerous sites that do take that into account but these are just the raw stats ranked. That of course gives any school playing a weak schedule a relative advantage. LSU's average margin of victory is currently much better than Uconn's mostly because of the difference in schedules, and who knows which will be higher by year end, but the gap will surely decrease dramatically because the schedules for both teams will change in a major way.

LSU will go from cupcakes to the toughest conference schedule in the land, and Uconn will shift from a very tough OOC schedule to the significantly easier Big East schedule with an occasional challenging OOC game mixed in.

BTW, excuse the faux pas but the "he" refers to HOF coach Geno.

These are NCAA stats
Yes, understood, however was merely making a point that stats are great and some love analyzing all the data but compared that to an interview where Geno said that UConn slices and dices just about every type of athlete performance statistics but he rarely looks at much of it.

Is this a fact? Just wondering because the SEC, with so many teams, plays most teams once and only a couple twice (Texas being one). This could effect the toughest conference schedules. For example, which top 15 teams, SoCar, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and possibly Kentucky, Vandy and Tennessee, play other top teams twice in the regular season.
