Yeah, but, did the ink ever even dry on this one year with us? I mean, we've got to establish something that resembles a QB coach that's willing to hang around a little bit, instead of one and done, no? Considering our FBS history and all. Hopefully we won't be a YoYo over the next several years (win a bunch, lose a bunch do it to getting reacclamated to new coaching along a bunch portal NIL kids mixed) I mean, if we get it right, we can make a nice 5 year run out of it...but, all things considered, in the past decade and more, leaves you wondering a little. I just don't want us going back there any time soon... better yet, ever again.

Disagree. Position coaches go mobile every year or two as they progress towards coordinator status and eventually an HC. Only way you are getting stability on a position coach for several years is if they are at the end of their career and they just want that level of responsibility.

Look at Robbins Bio, he is a climber. Climbers are great, and at some point they have tostop and be a builder. Nobody is going to follow Robbins career from here on, but it is an interesting study in general.

Robbins did something Charlton could not. He developed a passing game at UConn. While the personnel was better, the schemes were better and the offense yelled.
Thank you and good luck on your career trajectory. Mora will find the next passing game coordinator I am sure.

And the good news is we haven't even been hurt too badly by position coaches moving around
Years with program
DL coach McClendon -- 3
DB coach Hilliard -- 3
OC/OL coach Sammis -- 3 (upgraded from OL to OL/OC between 2023 and 2024)
LB coach Diabate -- 3
WR coach Moore -- 2
RB coach Wilcox -- 2
TE coach Pace -- 2

That's four position coaches that were here when Mora was first hired. Something's going right.

There is the possibility one of the QBs follows Robbins to Tulsa. Very real
I won't hit the Like button, but I agree. But the no speculation rule is in effect, so we cannot list probabilities.

Great responses here guys. Appreciate the feedback that helps me better understand the benefits in losing an assistant during a time of success
I don't know what you want to see/hear... nobody in the coaching industry is content where they're at and nobody is going from Tennessee to Utah to Connecticut in one year with plans to hang around for 3-5 years while everyone else moves up the ladder. I think you're expecting something that doesn't happen.

We were looking like a coaching graveyard for a while. Mora has really worked wonders in 3 years.
Speaking of coaching graveyard, half of Diaco’s staff now works as life insurance saleamen and ditch diggers.

You mean like 3 or 4 wideout sets and no more rugby scrum/ rhino sets or constant sideline passes/bubble screens 3yds backwards ?...
I guess it didn't hurt bringing in talent to WR room who could get open either...;) ( Shout out to Mike Burton and the NIL crew !)

and I think you're reading too much into my response... I actually respect the info (that I don't fully understand) people provide... Not sure what the issue is in that...

I just hope we can keep growing as a FBS program at the end of the day (like most UConn Football fans on this board)...
