OC. It’s a step up to be able to call plays.Tulsa?
Tulsa?
With a new contract Mora will find the right guy. We just need the right QB.
But he's not.OC. It’s a step up to be able to call plays.
Oops, my bad. Still a step up in terms of job responsibility. But he's not.
We were looking like a coaching graveyard for a while. Mora has really worked wonders in 3 years. This is what we want. Talented young coaches can come to UConn, be successful, and move on with a promotion. That is how you attract other talented young coaches.
Losing a coach where the position group has improved year over year is a loss, yes. But it might be easier to replace a QB coach than an OC.Hmmm, much of a loss?
By far the weakest position group on the team. To attract QBs you need a good QB coach.Losing a coach where the position group has improved year over year is a loss, yes. But it might be easier to replace a QB coach than an OC.
Yet Fagnano had 20 TD vs 4 int. How weak was the position?By far the weakest position group on the team. To attract QBs you need a good QB coach.
CJasmer is having a rough day with the facts today. Let's give him a pass, since we won a nice bowl game...Yet Fagnano had 20 TD vs 4 int. How weak was the position?
I wondered how long that would takeThink Dan O might make a good QB coach?
Bet he would lead the QB's running the stairs at the Rent at 6:00 AM on most mornings.
Fagnano was Charlton guy, Evers would have been Robbins guy. QB group had a strange dynamic. Hard to tell what was going on between Mora Sammis and Fagnano Evers. I’m Not enough of a football guy to know how big a role the QB coach has in big picture, at UConn or elsewhere.Losing a coach where the position group has improved year over year is a loss, yes. Think Mora prefers younger position coaches. As a fan, I do.Does anyone know what Chris Palmer is up to? He may be up there (75) but he was as goos as anyone at developing QB's.
Yeah, but, did the ink ever even dry on this one year with us? I mean, we've got to establish something that resembles a QB coach that's willing to hang around a little bit, instead of one and done, no? Considering our FBS history and all. Hopefully we won't be a YoYo over the next several years (win a bunch, lose a bunch do it to getting reacclamated to new coaching along a bunch portal NIL kids mixed) I mean, if we get it right, we can make a nice 5 year run out of it...but, all things considered, in the past decade and more, leaves you wondering a little. I just don't want us going back there any time soon... better yet, ever again. This is what we want. Talented young coaches can come to UConn, be successful, and move on with a promotion. This ^. Positions on staff will sell themselves if Mora can show a proven path to growth and promotional opportunities. This is a very good thing. More worried about the position of qb and not the coach. This is what we want. Talented young coaches can come to UConn, be successful, and move on with a promotion. It was drier than the ink on his Southern Utah contractYeah, but, did the ink ever even dry on this one year with us?
