UConn’s Amida Brimah shines at Greater Hartford Pro-Am

Looks legit to me. This is his first healthy off-season at UConn since he did have that shoulder issue last year.

I think it wouldve been smart for amida to work on 2 post moves. Just using his athletic ability to score limits him. Hes going to be a first rd pick next year--but how high will be determined by skill appreciation.
Somebody went to Chief School :D

AB looks a little bigger than last season. I think he will be quite a bit better this season, especially if he can stay out of foul trouble.

Join the club! The strength issue with Brimah is most acutely lower body - even when he gets position someone can move him.

Agree. However, back and shoulder strength matter too and increased overall weight is very helpful

So I understand how exciting it is having AB healthy over the summer, but getting 15 blocks in a pickup game is extremely overblown and completely irrelevant in terms of his progress.

Only number that will matter to me this year at all: Fouls per 40

Holy crap! AB looks huge! Really hope his all round game has gotten better. Really want to see him average atleast 7 rbs a game.

7 rebounds a game is going to be really tough for Amida considering we added Shonn Miller who was one of the best defensive rebounders in the country last year.

Thabeet and Adrien each averaged double figure rebounds in 2006, so it's possible. I would love to see him be much more of a factor in the rebounding department.

What's the ratio of 15 blocks in a Hartford Pro Am game to 111 points in a Canadian high school game? Asking for a friend.

15 blocks in a pro am game equates to 122 1/2 points in a Canadian High School game. Don't ask me how I know, I just do.

Just trying to fill the void while Chief takes his well deserved break.
