UConn’s 1st opponent for the Big East tourney | The Boneyard

UConn’s 1st opponent for the Big East tourney

I watched the first half of the Butler/Georgetown game. The Hoyas couldn't shoot anything from the arc (like 2-10 or something.) I bet, somehow, they find their way and light it up tomorrow. Seems to be the MO. LOL

If we have to worry about Georgetown, a whole lot of pollsters haven’t been doing their job properly! LOL Having said that, you are probably right, they’ll likely go 9/12 or something like that from three.

Probably right on the 3-pt efficiency but equally probable it won’t make a Tinker’s darn as to the outcome.

funny I was on the elevator with a Hoya player, someone asked her do she play basketball (yes), for who (Georgetown) oh the Bulldogs (silence), I said Hoyas (she nods her head to me). I didn’t know UConn would be their next opponent.
Side Note: after they got off I was left on the elevator with a “senior”… he asked me “is she a cheerleader?” I said nah she’s a basketball player, he said “wow, times have changed!” 🤷‍♂️

.-.
Georgetown has 24 hrs to recoup. Uconn is well rested.

Georgetown may may hang in there for a bit. But they are not going to change. Uconn will win.

I must lament on the lack of free broadcast for today's game - and so many others.

I find myself much less engaged when I can only check ESPN or the Chat Room for updates and wait 24 hours for a YouTube replay. It just saps my interest knowing the deal is done when I'm seeing the action.

So too with the Boneyard, hard to be engaged after the game when I haven't seen it.

Just complaining, I understand the politics of media money - Sunday/Monday I'll go live weather permitting. But, even then I'll miss the Boneyard interaction as I'll be on a long road home.

Georgetown v UConn 12:00 pm - Peacock, NBCSN

caseyb7, highly recommend that you listen to Bob Joyce and Debbie Fiske on the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (Fox Sports 97.9), which can be accessed anywhere through the UConn app.

Bob's play-by-play is easy to follow along.

Furthermore, they are often 5 to 10 seconds ahead of what is showing on Peacock, FS1 or ESPN (although sometimes 5-10 seconds behind what is coming in from live stat updates). Good stuff. Pre-game starts at 1130.

Cheers. Go Huskies!
