UCLA's Jordin Canada Praises Teammate in Post-Game Presser

Don't know if any one has seen this clip from UCLA's post-game presser following their PAC-12 tournament semifinal loss to Oregon State. Most of the press conference was perfunctory, until junior PG Jordin Canada started talking about her senior running mate, Kari Korver.

Everything you always hope you'll hear....



I've always admired her playing skills. Now I'll root for Jordin -- and Kari -- in just about every endeavor they undertake.

I am sure most of you know, Kari Korver is Kyle Korvers/Cleveland Cavs cousin.
Both, Jordin and Kari, are great kids. They both played club ball together on the Cal Sparks AAU team.

I've gotten to watch UCLA at home a few times this season, and Jordin Canada has done nothing but impress me each time, and not just with her basketball. It's her demeanor, her effort, her leadership, her relentlessness.

When I went to the UCLA-Washington game, I was afraid she might not play because just 5 days earlier in Corvallis she'd left the game with a painful-looking neck/head injury against OSU. She didn't start, but she did enter midway through the 1st quarter and went on to have one of the best games I've seen from any point guard this year. That performance was all about her character.
