I maintain that one of the big problems for the now-dead P12 was that its content was on a channel nobody had.
Peacock is different in that it has more subscribers and folks could sign up. But still. Having one of the biggest games of the year not on a regular TV is bad for WCBB and bad for the BiG.

I understand. NBC purchased the BiG package with the intent that some of it could be used for Peacock content. And that if any game this year moved the needle to get more subscribers, this would be the one.

But this is just bad. Poor planning. Poor leadership.

Someone started a thread that no one was talking about the #1 team, UCLA. Well having its games on Peacock isn't going to help. BiG completely squandering be the home of the #1 team.

NBC in LA area has local news, Access Hollywood and Law and Order, SVU on tonights schedule

NBC is not going to preempt a primetime Thursday lineup for a WCBB game. Fox does it on Saturday nights because network viewership on Saturdays is basically nothing. But Thursday ad revenue is very important for networks.

Coach Gottlieb made comments recently about how this UCLA/USC match up should get more attention. My response, while reading the article, was "Definitely won't get a lot of attention with the game being on the Peacock Channel" Putting a matchup as big as this one exclusively on a streaming service is certainly not ideal for fans, as many will not be able to watch the game as a result. But as fans of WBB, I am sure there is a way to watch this matchup. Listening or watching, I am going to catch this game.

JuJu was on fire early, but has cooled off, way too much dribbling now. It's like the best and the worst of her are on equal display tonight.

Fight On. Besides the 38 points, the 8 blocks and the help on defense against Betts was big.

Betts really made it easy for Watkins to fly in there and make those blocks. When she caught the ball in the post she would dribble a couple times and bring the ball down then on her way up for the shot Watkins came in and slapped the ball away. It was a wonderful tactic. Also could be a great blueprint for other teams to defend Betts.

So ND goes to #1, as befits my prior assertion that they arguably have had the best overall roster right along. Uconn - Carolina winner Sunday will reveal more. But any of the current top 7 AP teams are totally in play for the gold ring in March
