UCLA Post Game Thread

AK threatening to be man of the tourney. Way to lead us in back to back games.

Demary got out of there no worse. That was the second biggest result.

Ross just continues to be a menace. He was called for three phantom fouls for his last three fouls. We are just so different out there.

We were very sloppy. We sputtered and started. But we got there.

Who was it again that was criticizing Alex a few days ago?

We settled the score (tournament and overall) with UCLA. Next, square up the all time series with Mich St and go ahead in tournament matchups.

I've been saying, there are opportunities to settle a lot of scores thus tournament.

Alex’s decision to come back was worth it based on tonight alone. Best game of his career. Honorable mentions for Ross and Smith. I think it’s obvious to everyone at this point that Ross should be starting over ball and I loved playing both PGs at the same time. Smith should be 6th man and his renewed confidence could be huge. Another week for Silas to recover and get stew back for the sweet 16.

Great team D. AK showed why he's on the Wall. Thought Malachi and Ross provided excellent help from bench. Malachi with a great floor game with Silas playing hurt. Braylon gaining valuable Tourney experience. Two down. Onto DC.

This one has me tearing up. Just love this team, love the way they’ve had each other’s backs to fight through adversity. Perhaps the fan base here could learn something similar. It’s no secret there’s been a lot of angst and tumult this year, but they’ve fought through when frankly a lot of people even here doubted them.

Of course, job’s not done. It’s not even halfway done. But we’ve earned the chance to extend our season at least another weekend. And I’m going to enjoy the hell out of that before refocusing in on that bigger picture.

Best game of AK's career. He was exceptional from the opening tip. Drilling shots, mixing it up down low, getting great position, cutting. He did it when we were down early and then he took over the game in the second half. Incredible perfomance.

Best game of Jayden's career, he's become a true all around player and his defense is elite now. We're a much better team with him on the court and he should be starting.

Let’s be real we didn’t like how many close games the team played all year we thought that we should be blowing everyone out.

Well the last two games have shown the benefit of all those close games. When ucla were on their run there was no panic they did what they did all year long.

Good time for Karaban to have the best game of his career. He kept us in it early and he pulled us away late. Great game!

Shoutout Jayden Ross, man. He was playing like an absolute star on both ends of the court. He has pride in his jersey and it shows

Not perfect by any means. Very ugly game up until the last 6 minutes or so. A lot of the ugliness was self inflicted. But right now it’s just survive and advance. UConn won by 16 and advanced.

Bring on Michigan State. Let’s go Huskies!

We got an extremely favorable draw with the Bilodeau injury, but we survive and advance.

We need to get healthy and make a few strategic adjustments this week (more Ross, run the offense thru the post, less Ball/Mullins 3s).

I really hope Danny doesn’t think that we can keep doing what we’re doing and hope that the 3s start dropping. That won’t get us by a real team.
