The clock was probably off from the start when they had to stop the action

We did a decent job surviving the Napier-less last six minutes. Although the last two possessions were huge - if UCF hits the three and we miss, we're only up four instead of nine. Napier got the bigs some easy points - it was harder to take advantage of our size once we didn't have a PG. The couple times we got it to the bigs on the low block, Drummond took a high-degree of difficulty fadeaway, and AO put up a soft lefty hook in the paint that was a tougher shot than it needed to be.

this benching is getting into AO's head...

9 pts, 4 reb, 2 blocks in a half isn't too shabby so maybe it was a good thing. He also had limited minutes.

Oriakhi went up soft a couple of times but he's now looking way more comfortable and really mixing it up, he played really well at the end of the half. Drummond is getting better every game, TO looked great before the 2 fouls. Can't be stated enough how good it will be to have Boatright tomorrow, Lamb is awesome but he's not a point guard.

TO's game compliments the center position very nicely...kid can shoot and pass

I agree. We can't play AO and AD at the same time because neither of them has skills outside of 10 feet (the same reason we could play AO and Chuck at the same time). But Olander can step out to 15-17 feet and handle the ball.

oriakhi can hit that shot now but still doesnt know how to play with it in game...once drummond starts getting double teamed...expect oriakhi's numbers and jumpers to go up.........assuming drummond keeps progressing to that level

I think the two can play together against the right type of team. Alex can at least keep you honest from 15 feet.

Napier has played two of the worst minutes of basketball I've ever seen.

Napier settled in nicely after those two minutes. It was really ugly - three turnovers and two blow-bys for lay-ups from Jordan.

i want oriakhi to dominate with drummond today...btw love the amount of uconn fans at the games...and they actually know the right chant...haha

Heck yeah. The UConn faithful is solid. I am listening to the game on over the internet, but it sounds like a home game almost.

Playing a more traditional team has been the best thing for this team, can't stand playing the chuck and duck low-majors.

Looks like Calhoun got through to Oriakhi. He's starting to take control out there.

I love Olander, but when Oriakhi is playing like this, this is our best lineup. Factor in Tyler coming off the bench, and our frontcourt is beastly.

UCF still has the annoying big guy shooting threes thing going.

Napier was clobbered shooting that three. Pretty easy call to make and they blew it. We could have been up 20.

JC needs to beat it into AD and AO's heads that that fadeaway jumper along the baseline is not something they should be doing...they need to keep just muscling in there and making higher percentage shots for themselves

that was a bad ref call...shoulda been three shots for napier...but i gotta say, i love the bazz, lamb, smith, oriakhi, drummond lineup...a little stagnant rite now...but i love the athleticism, length, defense and chemistry of that lineup

The problem when those guys shoot fadeaways is that they don't make them often and we lose their presence on the offesnive glass.
