UCF Game Thread

Not being able to inbounds the ball when UCF isn't even pressing basically sums up this season.

What a play by Durham! Great board, great put back. If he continues to give us quality minutes, this season can really start to change...

So Ollie is going three man rotation for the 2 guard spots, which is what I think we need to do to keep JA and RP fresh. This will continue to work especially if Vance and Durham continue to give us quality minutes at the 3 and 4 respectively...

Ollie: "we need to shoot better."
Team: "oh, okay coach."

They just look like they are fresher and have much more energy on both ends of the floor. Some of it is due to Ollie's rotation, but some of it is the kids saying "enough!" I'm glad it's all coming together...
 
Amazing what happens when you actually make shots consistently...

Still won't call the PG discard with the off hand. Every other ref but him calls it. Jalen was mouthing off to him after the last fall away jump shot. He was pissed, deservedly so. The one at the beginning of the game was a terrible non call.

Yeah I saw that too. Adams was pissed. That ref is amazingly clueless.
 
I really think inserting Vance in the starting lineup completely changes things. His confidence is way up. I honestly had no idea he could drive and pass the way he has all of a sudden.

4 fouls in 4 minutes against UConn, and maybe 1 of them was legitimate.

Jalen really needs to stop with the careless turnovers, though.

Funny thing is for four seasons UConn fans were saying how DD had to gain more weight to be more effective.

VJ needs to remake his body to have the quickness to consistently get to the hole.

If my memory is correct it took about 2 1/2 years to get the pump fake J out of DD's game. VJ is going to be plenty effective at UConn.
 
Pretty sloppy this half. Need to keep a foot on their throat.

Adams turnovers are inexcusable for someone who wants to play in the NBA!

He has cleaned up hos three point shot (on a few attempts per game..) but still needs to create. NBA scouts can tolerate that, not these obnoxious turnovers.
