sounded like MuffettReasonable, sportsmanlike remarks.
Some of the passes yesterday were just plain lazy. One in particular that Crystal Dangerfield threw was just a soft lob across the court and was easily picked off. Thought for sure Geno would bench her after that.Turnovers: Thursday vs Maryland = 10; Sunday vs UCF = 21. UCF players were quick to anticipate and/or move into passing lanes and UConn was slow to make adjustments. Coach and CD will be clear about the need, for example, for shorter passes. We'll see what happens vs ECU.
Sometimes they think they can just go thru the motions, they get real comfy and the Irish exposed that during the Diggins era... jump the passing lanes and those same ol hand off passesSome of the passes yesterday were just plain lazy. I was thinking that as well, Kool Kesh encouraged thatYou know ... there is a certain assistant coach at UCF who still holds the records at Uconn for steals - three years of 100+, and she only missed four years because of her senior season injury ending with 98. Single season record at 143 - 31 more than the next closest (Jen) and 477 for her career 94 more than the #2 Moriah. Maybe, just maybe Nykesha is passing on some of that art to her young charges. I was impressed with their anticipation and speed in jumping the passing lanes. And the determination to recover after they had live ball turnovers themselves.
