I think all the games will be reasonably close. Don't see any 20+ point blowouts. USA if they're hitting their shots might blowout France.

My predictions are Russia over Australia, Canada over China, Spain over Japan and USA over France. Wouldn't be surprised if the results are different.

I think Japan will be a surprise, they have a few players who are playing well in Stephanie Mawuli, Sasaka and Umezawa. This might be a lower scoring game.

I can assure you all that there is a lot to like about the #2 2019 recruit Laeticia Amihere. 21 points today in a 68-65 Canada win over China. Oh and btw SHE'S ONLY 15!!!! Wow she has a great skill set to go along with size and Athleticism! I can't wait to see how much more her game expands.

I watched her play in the first game of this tournament and she played like she was brand new to this team . She did not start and was hesitant. Seems like she figured it out quickly. I'll have to catch this game of replay once I get home. I though the plan was to bring her up to the National team. I wonder if that is still a possibility?

Hello! Yes I watched the entire game, and I was very impressed. She did exceptionally well agaisnt a much taller player in Xu Hun from China who I believe is listed at 6'10".

The things that stood out to me was her ability to drives the ball and finishing with either hand through contact. In translation she is very guard like and can handle the ball very well. She also has a good looking jump shot from about 12 feet in, and if she ever can become a consistent threat from outside she can have a similar impact to Breanna Stewart. She has the tools to be a prime time player.

Yes, I agree in her first couple of matches she was very reluctant to score. I would now say she has gotten more comfortable. I'm interested to see her agaisnt the US (assuming they beat France). That would give me a further indication on how well she plays agaisnt true elite competition and how well she matches up with our best players.

I read a article awhile back stating that she and Hailey Brown (Michigan Commit) were going to be playing with the national team so yes I think there is a possibility.

Had some running around to do this morning and wasn't able to watch any of the games.

Russia over Australia 67-65
Canada over China 68-65
Japan leads Spain 46-25 at the half. Surprising margin. Winner of France vs USA will play winner of Japan vs Spain.

Japan Demolishes Spain 95-71 While I thought Spain would win, I'm not surprised Japan won as others stated Japan has been playing well during this tournament. Would never have thought Japan could beat one of Europes best Women's BB Programs by 24 points.

Spain and Australia were two of the teams that were favored to compete for a Medal and now both won't medal.

Japan might be an interesting team to look out for at the 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo.

None of the sport networks will carry the game, they would rather broadcast the regularly scheduled shows where these blowhards keep talking about sports and keep saying the same things over and over and over again

Crystal in the pre-game layup line. We'll see if/how much she plays. She's listed in the starting lineup.

France is killing the US with pick and roll which due to lack of communication creates open shots for the French

with 3:18 to go in the 1st. wbbfan 1 is right. The USA is missing layups, and wide open shots. Defense is spotty. France (early on) looks like the best team they've played thus far.

All tied up at 1st quarter 18-18

USA now shooting 41 % to France's 44%.

USA needs to tighten up their low post defense. France getting easy layups as help defense is non existent.

Confident USA will win this game, but may not beat Russia if they end up playing for the Gold Medal. Japan will give team a battle as well if USA starts of the game shooting poorly.

First have to beat France. :)

USA leads 24-20. France getting all the hustle plays. They already have 8 Offensive Rebounds. Lack luster performance by Team USA so far.

30-22 at the half. France was held to 4 points in the second quarter. France cooled off after a blistering 1st qtr.
